ProjectorsProjectors are used for displaying an image on a projection screen or similar surface for the view of the audience. There are all different types of projectors. These projectors may include Video projectors, Transparency projectors, movie projectors, handheld projectors and opaque projectors. The manufacturers of projectors are Barco, BenQ, InFocus, EIKI, Epson, HP, Hitaichi Ltd, NEC, Sony, Sanyo and Toshiba.

Video Projectors-Video projectors are projectors’ that takes video signals and projects corresponding images on a projection screen. Most of the video projectors use bright lights to project the image they are projecting. The different types of video projectors are CRT projectors, LCD projectors, DLP projectors, LCOS projectors and D-ILA. CRT projectors are projectors that use blue, red and green tubes. This projector requires the littlest amount of maintenance and it also uses expensive lamps that need to be periodically replaced after it has been burned out. This is the oldest type of projectors possible but the dire thing about this type of projector is that it doesn’t come in a large screen size. LCD projectors use LCD light gate and is the simplest type of video projector. This is mainly used in affordable home theatres. The only problem related with this type of video projector is that it is mainly pixilated. DLP projectors use DLP technology and micro fabricated light valves called digital micro mirrors. LCOS projectors use liquid crystal on silicon. D-ILA is another form of LCOS projector as it is also liquid crystal on silicon.
